Veronica Newell

Veronica Newell is a BC mixed media artist. She creates colorful paintings with an emotional quality, depicting nature and wildlife in compositions that include patterns, mandalas, text or rich layers. She utilizes a variety of materials and tools to create her art, such as paper, fabric, acrylic paint, palette knives and stencils.  Veronica’s background in quilting guides her unique design choices, and she utilizes patterns in an organic way to represent subjects or to frame nature. Travels to Europe, Asia and Morocco greatly influence her work.  She seeks to connect these memories in a decorative way to her West Coast life and surroundings. Veronica is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has shown her work in various juried art shows. In good weather, Veronica can be found showing her work on the Artist’s Walk at White Rock Beach.
